Salem Al Noaimi
CEO & MD, Waha Capital
Mr. Al Noaimi is Waha Capital's Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, responsible for leading the company's strategy and achieving its long-term goals. Prior to his current role, Al Noaimi was Waha Capital's CEO for 4 years, with previous roles including Deputy CEO of Waha Capital, and CEO of Waha Leasing. Earlier in his career, Al Noaimi held various positions at Dubai Islamic Bank, the UAE Central Bank, the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, and Kraft Foods. He chairs and sits on the board of a number of companies, including New York-listed Aercap (Netherlands), Abu Dhabi Ship Building, Dunia Finance, Siraj Finance, the MENA Infrastructure Fund, and Bahrain’s ADDAX Bank.
Mr. Al Noaimi is a UAE national with a degree in Finance and International Business from Northeastern University in Boston, USA.
Michael Raynes
COO, Waha Capital and CEO, Waha Financial Services
Mr. Raynes holds a dual role at Waha Capital, serving as both the company's Chief Operating Officer as well as Chief Executive Officer of Waha Capital's financial services. As a key member of the company’s Management and Investment Committee, Mr. Raynes plays a leading role in all aspects of Waha Capital’s strategic and operational development. Prior to joining Waha Capital, Mr. Raynes was Global Head of Aerospace, Defense and Trade Finance at Barclays Capital in London. He is also a member of the European Investment Banking Senior Managing Directors’ Committee. During his time at Barclays Capital, Mr. Raynes led the execution of several billion dollars worth of structured finance transactions, which included a number of benchmark high value asset backed financing mandates.
Sana Khater
CFO, Waha Capital
As Waha Capital's CFO, Ms. Khater is responsible for financial planning, analysis, and treasury operations. She has 20 years of experience in the banking and financial services industries. Prior to joining Waha Capital, Mr. Khater was CFO and a Director of North Africa Holding, a Kuwait-based investment holding company focused on Private Equity. Previously she was CFO of NBK Capital, the investment banking subsidiary of the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) and CFO and Acting Co-Head of Asset Management in the Investment Banking, Private Equity and Treasury Group.
Ms. Khater is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant at McGill University in Montreal. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and an MBA from the American University of Beirut.
Hazem Saeed Al-Nowais
COO, Waha Land
Mr. AL Nowais is COO of Waha Land, the real estate arm of Waha Capital, managing its industrial development, ALMARKAZ. With 12 years experience in construction, design management and real estate development, Mr. Al-Nowais has held senior positions with organizations including Aldar Properties, the Abu Dhabi Public Works Department and the Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company.
Mr. Al-Nowais holds a Bachelor's and a Master’s degree in Architecture from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, USA. He received the Sheikh Rashid Award for Academic Excellence in 1997, and is a member of the Tau Sigma Delta National Honor Society in Architecture and Applied Arts (USA).
